SHIBORI CRAFT BOX
Shibori is one of the oldest families of resist dyeing techniques, dating back to 8th century Japan. Over time, shibori has made its way into dyeing practices in cultures all over the world. The essence of shibori is that it records the memory of the resist, creating imprints on the cloth that appear as a repetitive symphony of the shape. Shibori dyeing can be done with the simplest everyday objects that give beautiful results, making this an excellent technique for creative at-home projects.
The Nila Shibori Craft Box comes with a complete set of DIY tools and an instruction guide for experiments with Itajime or clamp-resist shibori, Arashi shibori and the Indian tie-dye or Bandhani. The craft box is suitable for beginners as well as experienced dyers, for easy studio experiments.
