KNITTING WITH LOOMS OF LADAKH

The women of the artisan cooperative Looms of Ladakh will join us in Jaipur for a special session on knitting - meditative, creative and easy to learn. Working with sheep wool from Ladakh, we will learn the basics of the technique. The session will also include a demo of spinning with fine pashmina wool – a technique that requires immense skill.  

The workshop is limited to five participants. All levels of craft experience are welcome.

The session will have a 1-hour break for lunch. Workshop fees includes all materials and lunch.

 This session is a part of our three-part series on craft techniques connected to handmade textiles. The workshops are in tandem with the opening of our exhibition ‘THAAN - Hand-spinning Tomorrow’, opening at Nila House on 20th January, 2023.
