The clean, minimal lines of our Margin Napkin evoke the crispness of a fresh, unwritten page in a notebook. This bespoke design from the Nila studio is woven on the loom in a combination of undyed cotton yarn set with a naturally dyed emerald green stripe. The green natural dye is an extraction from the Vitex negundo L or five-leaved Chaste tree.
The pure cotton textile for the napkin has been handwoven in Murshidabad and the green yarn for stripe detail has been dyed at BioDye in Sawantwadi, Maharashtra. The napkin carries tassel details that bring playfulness to the minimal design. The tassels have been hand-made and stitched by the women connected to our sister organisation LBCT.
The Margin Napkin can be purchased with the matching tablecloth for a complete set.
Composition & Care
100% handloom cotton with natural dye details
Hand wash separately in cold water and line dry in the shade. The natural green colour may fade slightly over time, with exposure to direct sunlight. The textile may carry subtle irregularities - this is a part of the beauty of handwoven textiles.
