Patchwork Jaali Shirt

4,930MRP (Incl. of all taxes)

The Patchwork Jaali shirt is a delicate design made out of leftover khadi and jamdani cotton. The precious, handwoven textiles have been creatively patched together using ‘Kantha’ embroidery and highly skilful ‘jaali’ or lattice embroidery that lends beautifully to a feeling of lightness and free movement.

The textured khadi for the shirt has been woven in Bhopal while the diaphanous muslin jamdani comes from West Bengal, woven by a group of master weavers. The stitching and hand-embroidery is done by women artisans associated with the Shakti Samuh  – a Self Help Group (SHG) in Bagru, just outside Jaipur. Cotton yarn dyed in shades of natural indigo has been used for the embroidery, continuing our on-going love with the timeless combination of natural, white cotton and deep indigo hues.

The Patchwork Jaali shirt has a fluid, universal design. The handwoven textiles and natural indigo embroidery details are light and gentle against the skin.

We love pairing it with our Shalwar Pants in buttery, soft Shade 0 but you could also wear it with your favourite pair of jeans for a relaxed and effortlessly elegant travel outfit.
