Discover the art of weaving with the bark of the banana plant, guided by the inspiring Vishwanath Aundhakar. You will learn to weave your own eco-friendly keychains and rakhi bracelets, exploring the fibre from the banana plant through the art of crochet and macramé.

Hailing from Kampli in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, Vishwanath found himself confined to a banana plantation farm during the covid pandemic, where he began to explore banana bark, making threads from the fibre and then transforming it into ropes for weaving. This led him to start his own venture, Vishnature, that employs around 50 women who specialise in crochet, macramé and basket-weaving.

This hands-on experience celebrates the Vishwanath’s creativity and resilience .Come, be a part of this creative journey and weave with purpose, embracing the beauty of sustainable craftsmanship.
