Date: April 12th , 2024 & 13th , 2024

11 AM to 2 PM IST / 5:30 AM to 08:30 AM GMT

Indigo is one of the oldest dyes in the world, cherished for centuries for its captivating hue and intriguing process. The study of indigo could fill a lifetime of exploration and learning. Join the Nila team at Nila House for a two-day session of discovery and creativity at an immersive indigo dyeing workshop where we will share some of our notes on this mesmerising dye.

Day 1
Set up your own indigo vat, which uses lime powder as the base and tamarind as the reducing agent.

Day 2
Explore the many possibilities with indigo, like shibori, tie-dye and dip dyeing to create unique patterns on handwoven cotton.

By the end of this workshop, you will take home your indigo-dyed bandanas and a Nila Indigo Craft Box to continue your studio experiments at home.

Like all our workshops, we welcome people of all ages and skill levels to join us. All materials will be provided by Nila.

Final Deadline for workshop registration - 12th April, 6:00 PM IST / 12:30 pm GMT
