Natural indigo is a healing dye with regenerative qualities, meaning that it gives back to the earth, creating a cycle of positive impact.


The Nila Indigo 02 Craft Box comes with a complete set of DIY tools and an instruction guide to help you set-up  and maintain a studio vat to use for indigo dye experiments. The box also includes tools that can be further used for experiments with Itajime or clamp-resist shibori, Arashi shibori and the Indian tie-dye or Bandhani. The craft box is suitable for beginners as well as experienced dyers, for easy studio experiments.

Instruction guide

You will need:

Dried tamarind (for a sour vat)

Overripe banana or dates (for a sweet vat)

Henna powder

Lime powder

A wide mouth bowl for mixing indigo

20 litre container, ideally glass
