WOOD RESIST

550MRP (Incl. of all taxes)

Shibori is one of the oldest resist dyeing techniques, dating back to 8th century Japan. Over time, shibori has made its way into dyeing practices in cultures all over the world. The essence of shibori is that it records the memory of the resist, creating imprints on the cloth that appear as a repetitive symphony of the shape. Shibori dyeing can be done with the simplest everyday objects that give beautiful results, making this an excellent technique for creative at-home projects.

The Wooden clamp is designed for beginners as well as experienced dyers to conduct Itajime or shibori experiments at home. Made with locally available wood, these can be used either with the stainless steel clamps or with rubber bands to hold them in place to create resist dye patterns.
