JAALI KURTA SHADE 8

4,610MRP (Incl. of all taxes)

Made with pure cotton, the Nila Jaali Kurta is meant to be a summer staple. It derives its name from the intricate hand jaali featured on its neckline, making this otherwise relaxed-fit kurta, an elegant piece of clothing.

The kurta has been made with cotton that has been handspun on a charkha and woven on the pitlooms in Murshidabad, West Bengal.  The yarn for the textile has been dipped 8 times in natural indigo, bringing it up to the beautiful, cool hue of Shade 8. The hand jaali and final stitching has been done skillfully by artisans of Saheli Women. Saheli Women is an enterprise in Jodhpur aimed at empowering rural women by teaching them traditional and modern embroidery techniques.

The Jaali Kurta is versatile and unisex- it can beautifully transition from an everyday staple to a semi-formal piece of sustainable, stylish clothing.
