Ai Notebook

The Ai Notebook has been designed as a special space to record ideas, inspirations or just everyday musings. This soft bound journal carries 26 pages of handmade paper, bound together by hand with a cotton thread. The pale blue cover, achieved with a light dip dye in an indigo bath, carries a delicate, screen-printed impression of the moon.  

The handmade paper used for the Ai Notebook has been made by the Jaipur-based paper craft studio Craftboat, using recycled cotton fabric as the base for the pulp. The process of making the paper is done entirely by hand, starting with segregating the fabric scraps which are then turned to pulp through a gradual process of pulverization. Flattened into sheets, the paper pulp is then set out to dry. The paper when ready, carries the beautiful texture of handmade paper but with a smooth, rich grain that makes it enjoyable to write on.  

Used as a daily journal or to pen down moments of inspiration in the studio, the Ai Notebook brings a gentle sense of ceremony to the quiet moments.

100% handmade paper made from recycled cotton, dyed in natural indigo 

The vivid colour of the indigo paper may fade slightly over time, particularly with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
