RUBIA KURTA
The Rubia Kurta is crafted from a bespoke Jamdani fabric designed in the Nila studio in Jaipur. This beautiful and versatile piece from our Madder Collection celebrates the magical plant and ancient dye manjistha or Indian madder (Rubia cordifolia), for which it is named.
This airy, unlined kurta features selvedge accents along its length and sleeves. Subtle motifs are woven in as an extra weft using the traditional Jamdani technique in West Bengal. The rich red tones from the madder-dyed yarns gently contrast with the undyed cotton base of the fabric. Adding an extra-special touch, delicate embroidery inspired by the madder plant has been hand-stitched by women artisans in Rajasthan.
The Rubia Kurta offers unmatched comfort while evoking effortless elegance with every wear. Style it casually with jeans or pair it with trousers or a salwar for a more formal look.
