Discover the traditional craft of wood block carving through an immersive, hands-on workshop that explores the process of creating printing blocks by hand.

In this one-day workshop, participants will learn how a design is drawn and slowly carved into wood, exploring line, form and negative space along the way. Through the process, they will gain an understanding of the skill and patience behind the blocks used in traditional textile printing.

Join us for an intimate day of making that celebrates the beauty of hand-carved printing blocks and the craft of transforming simple wooden surfaces into tools for creating intricate patterns.

All materials are included, along with lunch at Nila. Open to all ages and skill levels.
